Town & Country Shopping Center
The Kettering Development Corporation proudly supported the vision of Town & Country to modernize the core of Kettering’s commercial city center.
Town & Country is a landmark, a destination, and a downtown for Kettering. The shopping center’s viability and vitality are critical to the image of the Kettering .
The multi-million dollar renovations have already sparked further commercial investment and residential property value increases in the surrounding areas. For these reasons the City of Kettering and Kettering Development Corporation encouraged the Town & Country renovations with a $700,000 economic development incentive in the form of a forgivable loan.
Kettering Crossing
The Kettering Development Corporation assisted the City and the Developer with the transition of the lease of a portion of the land. Today, Kettering Crossing houses a retail center that includes LaRosa’s Pizzeria & Frisch’s restaurant. The site also contains four town home condominiums with room for additional residential construction.
Kettering Pointe
Kettering Pointe is a 12.8-acre mixed-use redevelopment located on what was once the vacant Van Buren Shopping Center.
After years of waiting for the private market to redevelop this site, the Kettering Development Corporation purchased the land and sold it to a private developer. JZ Construction, owned by Jeff Samuelson, redeveloped the site to include a stand-alone bank, a 20,000 square foot retail center and residential.
Today all of the retail sites are occupied and the residential aspect of the development continues to grow in popularity.
